Kita Nightlife
What to Do at Night in Kita - Kyoto
Kita Ward nightlife generally caters to a younger crowd than other Kyoto wards due largely to the presence of a number of universities in the area. There are four universities situated within the ward limits thus thousands of university students inhabit the district. This large, lucrative market has brought about the opening of many businesses to cater for the student population. The streets around the Golden Pavillion, Kinkaku-ji are home to a few smaller bars and quiet izakayas but head to the areas surrounding the universities to find the lively student hangouts.
